Easter Break
These two weeks has been quite weird, I have come home for two weeks, so that I can see my family and friends but I still have research and work to finish off. It’s quite annoying that there is always something that has to be done by the time that we get back. I wanted just some time to be able to relax and not have anything to worry about. However it doesn’t always happen like that. So me being me, I worry that I will never get it finished so I use up all of the time I have trying to get it all finished at the same time, even though I know I have plenty of time after this to be able to do it.
I went out the other day to a forest/lake area so that I could take some photos of natural metamorphosis. I found some really interesting things and have taken some great shots that I am going to include into my research sheets. We were given three themes of metamorphosis to explore, I have found that the theme of magic and witchcraft has come to be the hardest and I had no Idea in how to present that on the sheets, so I have stuck to natural decay and change as I found this easier to work with and I have lots more ideas that I can use.
I am still finding this project quite tricky to get to grips with, It does make it harder working away from people on your course, because you work off their energies and ideas, and then you feel like you’re on the same track as someone else and you don’t feel as though you’re going in the wrong direction.
When I get back up into Leeds I hope to see some of the other people from my course and have a look at what they have done and see if I am along the right lines, and if not then I will still have a week once I am back to try and amend some of what I have done. The making side of this project I think I am going to really enjoy, because we are making it out of unconventional materials and making something creative and that doesn’t have to be wearable, there is a lot more freedom and I think that I work well with this type of task and environment.
